Obamacare has been demonized by the right. It has been characterized as a government takeover of healthcare. Romney has vowed to kill it day one of his Presidency. One of the many things that have been attacked in the Obama plan (or as I like to call it, Romneycare for the rest of us) is the so-called public option. Because this is something few of us understand, the Obama camp has put together a clear, concise explanation of what it is, how it works, how will reduce the escalating cost of healthcare and how no one will force you to elect it, if you don’t want it.

Have you ever thought about why healthcare is so expensive in the first place? If it is such a good idea why not have a public option for architectural service, advertising (the government could organize companies in large blocks to get the best rates from ad agencies), food, clothing and just about everything (AH! WHAT THE HECK WHY NOT EVERYTHING). We are such idiots…all we need to someone to help us consolidate. All along the secret was to get government to organize large blocks to help negotiate lower prices. Seriously! Why stop at healthcare. Robert Reich has found the secret for lower prices…the public option in everything if it can reduce prices in healthcare that is expensive why not reduce the prices of things that are cheap. Finally, Walmart, Target, Kmart and Costco would have some competition for really low prices.
